Err, shooting into first place for the most awkward piece of television for 2013, it’s Aretha Franklin telling everyone who won American Idol season twelve before the result was officially announced! Appearing via satellite from New York for theseason finale of Idol - which pitted Kree Harrison versus Candice Glover – Franklin appeared to spoil the result, saying, “Candice, you’re a winner,” from a huge screen in the Nokia Theater.
The audience were confused – had Aretha just told everyone who had won? Candice fans cheered, Kree fans fell silent. After an excruciating pause, the Queen of Soul added, “Win or lose – you’re a winner,” – which makes absolutely no sense to anyone.

A representative for Fox told BuzzFeed that the legendary singer ”did not know the results,” though, as we now know, Candice was crowned the winner just minutes later. Maybe Aretha just assumedCandice was the winner given she was overwhelming favorite heading into the final night? Delivering her only speech at a high school graduation this year, first lady Michelle Obama joked about the failures her husband, President Obama, has encountered in life as she told a graduating class of high school seniors in Nashville, Tenn. today that in order to achieve success in life, they must first experience failure.
“When something doesn’t go your way, you’ve just got to adjust. You’ve got to dig deep and work like crazy, and that’s when you’ll find out what you’re really made of during those hard times, but you can only do that if you’re willing to put yourself in a position where you might fail, and that’s why so often failure, is the key to success for so many great people,” Obama said at the graduation ceremony for Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet High School.

The Voice shake-up confirmed – Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green to return

U.S. TV bosses have confirmed reports CHRISTINA AGUILERA and CEE LO GREEN will be returning to their spinning chairs for the fifth season of hit talent show THE VOICE.
Green announced he’d be juggling an ongoing residency in Las Vegas with his return last month (Apr13), while sidekick Aguilera, who joined the Forget You singer in sitting out of the current fourth season of the show, has been rumoured to be coming back for weeks.
And now Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC, has confirmed the news, stating, “We locked in a plan several months ago to have the outstanding Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green rejoin Blake (Shelton) and Adam (Levine)… and we’re pleased to announce that the original four coaches are going to be back together in the fall.
“They’re the reason this show was launched so strong for the first three cycles and we owe them a debt of gratitude.”

Telegdy has also confirmed that Shakira and Usher, who replaced Aguilera and Green this season, will be back next year (14).
He adds, “After careful consideration of everyone’s schedules for next spring, we are excited to be returning the current cycle of judges – Shakira and Usher along with Blake and Adam – for cycle 6, which will premiere after the Winter Olympics.”
Shakira announced she’d be stepping down from the show earlier this week (beg13May13) to spend more time with her family and record a new solo album.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Well Amir Khan said tonight that he could possibly be facing Floyd Mayweather Jr. next. He says his promoters at Golden Boy Promotions are currently in negotiations for his next fight.
Amir Khan said “It [the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight] could be next or one fight away. I think I’ll be a lot stronger at 147. I was realty draining myself to make 140. I walk around at 155. I’ll be able to take shots better. I’m in negotiations. I should know in a couple of weeks.”
I actually like this fight for both guys. It’s a better fight for Floyd Mayweather Jr. than fighting WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez because at least Khan would be fighting more or less at the same weight as Floyd Mayweather Jr.
You can’t say that with Canelo. I like the idea of both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Khan having blazing hand speed, and I think it would be more interesting for boxing fans than seeing Floyd Mayweather Jr. fighting a guy that should be parked at light heavyweight in Canelo Alvarez.

Amir Khan also said his ability to take shots would be better when he moved up to light welterweight from the lightweight division. Unfortunately for Amir Khan his chin looked no better at 140 than it as at 135. He was badly hurt by Marcos Maidana in their fight in December 2010. Amir Khan was then fed a lot of weak punchers until he met up with Danny Garcia last year in July, and Amir Khan was stopped in the 4th round.
In Amir Khan’s last fight against Julio Diaz last month, Khan was hurt at least three times in the fight by big shots from Diaz. We can theorize that Amir Khan’s chin wasn’t getter after he moved up to 140, and I suspect it won’t be any better after he moves up to 147.
I just hope Amir Khan doesn’t continue to kid himself by think it’s about weight. Amir Khan can move up to 154 if he wants, and I’d be willing to be he’d be getting hurt just as much at that weight than he was at 147. It’s not about weight; it’s about Amir Khan’s ability to take big shots.

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are battling for $10 million, over one of the actor’s investments, in their ongoing divorce.
“Ashton and Demi are still not divorced, and no settlement has been agreed, even though they have been in negotiations for over a year,” a source told the NY Post. “Ashton made a lot of money after they married, but he doesn’t believe he owes her as much as she is asking for.”
The actor and a few high-profile businesspeople — including Madonna‘s manager Guy Oseary — made the initial investment in a tech industry start-up in 2010, a year before he and Demi split.
The value of his share has been estimated as high as $20 million, spurring Demi’s $10 million request, the source told the paper.
The 35-year-old actor, who pulled in $24 million for his work on Two and a Half Men in 2012, not only replaced Charlie Sheen on the show, but took his title of TV’s highest-paid actor.
Demi’s last big money role came a decade ago, as she pocketed $2 million for starring in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in 2003.

RIHANNA is suing UK retail giant Topshop for $5 million over an alleged unauthorised use of her image on their products.
The Bajan beauty is reportedly furious after that the High Street Fashion chain have been selling women’s T-shirts printed with an image of her in an oufit from her iconic We Found Love video.
She is apparently taking legal action after eight-months of negotiations with the firm – owned by billionaire Sir Philip Green – over the tops bearing her image that are being sold without her consent.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Rihanna’s management asked Topshop a number of times to stop selling her image and were told, ‘We do what we want’.
“They buy the pictures from a photographer, but they do not pay the artist licensing fees. Unfortunately, UK law does not protect the artist.
“What is most offensive for Rihanna is that they basically told her, ‘Go to hell. We don’t care; we are going to continue selling you’.
“They offered her $5,000 and said they don’t care.”
Rihanna has reportedly hired international lawyers Reed Smith to file a lawsuit against Topshop in London.
The garments are only being sold in the UK – where the photographer owns the image rights.
The source continued: “Topshop is now in the United States. They set up in Manhattan and Nordstrom, but they know better than to do this in the US because they would get in trouble.
“Even though the UK laws don’t protect the artist, she has decided to move forward and sue Topshop. She has spent almost $1million in litigation at this point.
“She says it’s the principle, and wants to make a statement about it. They are taking advantage of artists. It is just exploitation. What they are doing is wrong.”

Angelina Jolie means the world to Brad Pitt, and the World War Z actor is beaming with pride after the Academy Award winner opened up about her preventative double mastectomy in a May 13New York Times op-ed piece.
“Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie’s choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic,” Pitt, 49, tells The London Evening Standard. “I thank our medical team for their care and focus. All I want for is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family.”
Jolie credited her fiance with giving her strength after learning she carries the BRCA1 gene, which increases her risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. The 37-year-old Maleficent star had her first surgery in February and completed her final follow-up procedure on Apr. 27.
“I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive,” Jolie wrote. “So to anyone who has a wife or girlfriend going through this, know that you are a very important part of the transition. Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center [in Beverly Hills], where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries. We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has.”

Jon Voight learned Angelina Jolie underwent a double mastectomy after reading about it online.
The 74-year-old actor did not know his daughter had gotten surgery, even though he saw her just days before her op-ed in The New York Times was published.
“My love and admiration for my daughter can’t be explained in words,” Voight told the New York Daily News about Jolie. “I saw her two days ago with my son Jamie. We all got together for his birthday, with her and Brad [Pitt]. But I didn’t know. It wasn’t obvious at all. I found out [Tuesday] morning. I was as surprised as anyone and deeply moved by the way she’s handled this.”
He “absolutely” understands why she kept him in the dark for three months. “I completely understand. I want the focus to be on the inspiration,” he added, saying that they spoke on Tuesday after the news went public.
Jolie and Voight have had a rocky relationship. The actor cheated on Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, with another woman in the 1970s. The two later got divorced and Bertrand raised Jolie and her brother, James Haven.
“I grew up fighting with him over things, usually regarding her [Bertrand],” the 37-year-old explained to “60 Minutes” last year. “There was a certain point where it just got to a breaking point. Things were said and things went too far. I decided that I felt it was an unhealthy relationship because it was making me feel sick, and it was making me feel bad and it was making me too emotional. So I stepped away and called my mother and said, ‘He and I will not be speaking anymore.’”
In 2001, Voight went on “Access Hollywood” and tearfully pleaded for Jolie – whom he was already estranged from — to seek help for her “serious mental problems.” Seven years later, Voight and Jolie reconciled while she was pregnant with twins Knox and Vivienne in 2008.
Jolie began speaking to her father because it was best for her family. She again put her family first when she decided to get a double mastectomy after finding out she carries the breast cancer gene, BRCA1. She said she never wants her six children to be fearful of losing their mother, since she lost her own to cancer in 2007.
“We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer,” she wrote, referring to herself and fiance Brad Pitt. “And it has.”

Zoe Saldana Is the Latest Hollywood Ingénue to Use Bisexuality as a PR Tactic
The ladyblogs are all abuzz over this month’s issue of Allure, featuring Star Trek star Zoe Saldana. The cover line under her boldface name reads, “115 Pounds of Grit and Heartache,” bait that the Internet has gleefully seized, because the business of calling out sexism is always booming. But buried within the actual profile of Saldana is another irritating trend that Hollywood ingénues willingly participate in: the casual mention of the actress’s bisexuality.
After Saldana shrugs off her history of dating famous men like entrepreneur Keith Britton and Bradley Cooper (“‘Been there, done that, got the T-shirt,’ she says of dating actors.”), she nonchalantly (and tactfully) shares that she sees herself as “androgynous” and might one day raise children with a woman. “That’s how androgynous I am!”
Now, we’ll have to take this with a grain of salt. Not to cast doubt on bisexuality as an identity, or the many individual young famous women (including Anna Paquin, Evan Rachel Wood, Olivia Thirlby, Lady Gaga, and Snooki) who have publicly identified as bisexual, but it does seem a tad disingenuous when one’s sexual identity can be wrapped up in a tidy little soundbite. In Saldana’s case, it’s difficult not to take a cynical stance on the quote, especially since she demurs when asked if she’s ever been in a relationship with a woman. (“Promise me one thing,” she told Allure, “just put three dots as my response. That’s it.”)

Also worth noting: Zoe Saldana, who appears in various states of undress in the majority of the Allure photoshoot, is not particularly androgynous. And it seems her misunderstanding of the term also extends to the idea that appearance goes hand in hand with sexual orientation, as if the semblance of androgyny somehow affects the gender of the person to whom one is attracted.
On the one hand, this is a harmless, if annoying, trend; although the list of actresses who seem to embrace bisexuality as a PR move is surprisingly long, it at least provides a few more queer role models to those in need of them. On the other hand, it doesn’t exactly help to dispel the popular idea that bisexuality isn’t a “real” sexual orientation when it’s used as added street cred, as a marketing ploy for young, sexy women who have no actual history of same-sex relationships. There’s no way to prove or disprove Saldana’s claim, of course. The fact that confessions like these are so common among female actors that they don’t even raise eyebrows anymore makes them even more frustrating (just imagine Saldana’s ex Bradley Cooper commenting on the possibility of having children with another man on the cover of GQ). Could Saldana be truly bisexual? Sure. But it’s hard to avoid the suspicion that she and other women before her are using a so-called alternative sexuality to their advantage rather than initiating more open discussions about the fluidity of sexual expression.

DOCTORS have ordered Kim Kardashian to stop wearing high heels to save her swollen feet.
The pregnant reality star has been forced to step out of her designer shoes before the birth of her first child in July.
It means Kim, 32, will have to swap her vast collection of shoes — worth thousands of pounds — for sensible flats instead of sticking with her pre-pregnancy wardrobe of tight dresses and heels.
She said: “My doctor has told me to elevate my feet. Can you see how wide and swollen they are? I’ve just ordered a pair of pointy-toed flats.
“[My Louboutins] hardly fit me anymore. When I flew in them the other day, I landed with one strap unbuckled, as I couldn’t get it around my ankle.”
Kim and her sisters were speaking to a fashion magazine about her maternity wear style when she ‘fessed up to her shoe telling off.
Last week she turned up to the punk-themed Met Ball in New York wearing a head-to-toe floral number that drew comparisons to curtains — and Mrs Doubtfire after actor Robin Williams waded into the debate.
But Kim’s sister Khloe, 28, hit back at critics of Kim’s attire saying Kim should wear even TIGHTER clothes.
Khloe said: “I feel like she was trying to dress in flowing clothes, but Kim has such a phenomenal figure, she needs to show it off. I’m glad she went back to a tighter dress.”

Chris Brown‘s creepy curbside art reportedly scaring Los Angeles neighbors
LOS ANGELES – Grammy-winning musician Chris Brown’s neighbors are unhappy with the creepy art he’s chosen to have painted along the curb of his Hollywood Hills home.
A neighborhood group said the grimacing, sharp-toothed, red-eyed goblins painted along a retaining wall have been scaring local children, and is an eyesore to boot, the Los Angeles Times reported.
“There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they’re literally frightened. It’s like devils on the wall — big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we’re used to,” Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Association, told the newspaper.
L.A. city code officials responded to complaints about the monster art and cited the “Run It!” singer $376 for unpermitted and excessive signage.
Under city ordinances, it’s illegal to create murals on most private properties. Though that didn’t stop Madonna from painting her Hollywood Hills home in red and yellow stripes in the 1990s.
Brown has been ordered him to remove the goblin paintings within 30 days, but his attorney Mark Geragos said the musician is not backing down.
“They are trying to suspend the First Amendment,” Geragos said.
Geragos alleges neighbors are harassing Brown, and have also made parking complaints about him and called animal control.
Brown’s tumultuous relationship with singer Rihanna and foul-mouthed Twitter presence have given him a bad boy reputation.
Brown won a Grammy in 2011 for Best R&B Album with “F.A.M.E.” and was arrested shortly after the 2009 awards ceremony for assaulting Rihanna.
“I know a $300 fine is probably pocket change. But hopefully and maybe, he’ll just see the light and decide to be a good neighbor,” Negri told the Times. “We’re happy to have him — if he just tones it down.”

Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie mentioned on Tuesday that she had undergone a preventive double mastectomy after discovering she had a gene mutation that results into a sharply higher risk of both breast and ovarian cancer.
Jolie, writing in the New York Times, mentioned her mother’s loss from cancer at 56 and the discovery that she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation led to her decision out of fears she might not be around for her six children.
“We often speak of ‘Mommy’s mommy’, and I find myself trying to explain the illness that took her away from us. They have asked if the same could happen to me,” wrote Jolie, 37, in the editorial “My Medical Choice”
“I have always told them not to worry, but the truth is I carry a ‘faulty’ gene,” she added.
Her doctor estimated that she had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer.
“Once I knew this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much as I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy,” she said.
Three months of surgical procedures were completed at the end of April, throughout which Jolie continued to work. She said her partner, Brad Pitt, was by her side throughout, and thanked him for his love and support.
She said she was revealing her decision to help dispel the shadows that still hang over cancer and to enable other women to get testing and make informed treatment choices, as she had.
“The decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy to have made,” she said, adding that her chances of developing breast cancer had dropped from 87 percent to 5 percent.
Spokesmen for Jolie and Pitt, one of Hollywood’s biggest power couples, were not immediately available for comment.
Jolie, who won a best support actress Oscar for her work on “Girl, Interrupted” in 1999, is raising six children with Pitt. The couple got engaged last year. Read more

Dina Lohan and her ex-husband share four children – the Mean Girls actress and her three younger siblings Michael, Ali and Dakota – but the 50 year old headed to court last month (Apr13) to ask a judge to hold Michael Lohan in contempt as he reportedly failed to pay the required maintenance.
Michael Lohan has now sent a cheque for £19,627 to his ex and he tells TMZ.com, “I admit I withheld part of (Dakota’s) child support because I was angry about certain things that were happening… I was wrong and I’m making things right with Dina and my children.”

The New York Post’s Page Six reports that Beyoncé is pregnant with her second child. Multiple sources allegedly confirmed the news after Knowles’s appearance at the Met Ball one week ago. Jay-Z’s wife wore a custom Givenchy Haute Couture gown to the gala, which concealed her belly (if she indeed has a little bump).
Beyoncé — who is currently in the middle of her Mrs. Carter World Tour — recently revealed on “Good Morning America” that she would like to have another kid.
“I would like more children,” she said. “I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister [to Solange Knowles.]”
Blue Ivy is currently 15 months old.
However, People magazine reports that this baby chatter may be premature. “Beyoncé and Jay are planning for another baby after her tour is over and things calm down just a bit,” a source claims.
A rep for the singer has yet to respond to omg!’s request for comment. If Beyoncé and Jay-Z are expecting a new little bundle of joy, it’s likely the couple would share the news themselves. Beyoncé revealed she was pregnant with Blue Ivy during her performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

Disney’s Tonto Offensive To Some In Upcoming ‘Lone Ranger’ Film

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The Hollywood image of Tonto once had the Lone Ranger’s sidekick wearing a thin headband and lots of dangling fringes. The latest Disney version has a shirtless Johnny Depp adorned with feathers, a face painted white with black stripes, and a stuffed crow on his head.
The character in the upcoming “The Lone Ranger” still speaks broken English and chants prayers. But Depp has said he’s less subservient, honors the proud American Indian warrior and displays a dry sense of humor seen throughout Indian Country. The production even hired a Comanche adviser, making it decidedly a Comanche story, and received the blessing of other tribes through ceremonies during filming.
Yet Disney has caught flak for what some say is the perpetuation of stereotypes through a character that lacks any real cultural traits. Moviegoers will have to wait until July 3 to see how all this plays out on screen. For now, they’re getting a glimpse through movie trailers that have left them both optimistic and angry, and wondering to what extent the new Tonto portrays actual American Indians.
What has most people scratching their heads is the black crow that appears to hover over Depp’s head, and the black stripes that run vertically down his painted face. The inspiration came from a painting by artist Kirby Sattler, who said his work isn’t specific to one tribe but is modeled after nomadic Plains tribes of the 19th century.
Depp took the image to the film’s Comanche adviser, William “Two-Raven” Voelker, to ask if it was far-fetched. His answer: It’s not.
“There are a lot of people out there screaming who are not Comanche, as in this story Tonto is supposed to be,” Voelker said. “They know nothing of bird culture. When we wear or use those feathers, we’re calling on the energy of the entire bird.”
Depp’s elaborate costumes – as seen in “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Edward Scissorhands” – are nothing new. Voelker said he never would have agreed to be a consultant on the movie had he not been assured the production team would be sensitive to American Indian culture and committed to at least some historical accuracy.
The teepees used in the movies, for example, have four poles to reflect the way the Comanche built them, not three more commonly seen in movies and that trace back to Cheyenne and Sioux tribes. The production also visited Oklahoma to hear the Comanche language being spoken and worked with Voelker and others to give Depp Comanche lines in the movie.
The story of westward expansion as told from Tonto’s perspective isn’t entirely accurate historically. Some of the scenes are filmed in Monument Valley on the Navajo Nation, with trains curving around the spires that Navajos believe are petrified deities, and Depp and co-star Armie Hammer looking out beyond the cliffs. Voelker had sought out the sweeping expanses of the southern Plains, home to the Comanche Nation.
Hanay Geiogamah, a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma who advised Disney on “Pocahontas,” said Depp’s Tonto comes off as a mystical, radical modernization of the character played by Jay Silverheels in the 1950s, which is by far the most recognizable.
“You can say, `well, American Indians are going to like this one more,’” Geiogamah said. “Are they going to respond more positively to the Johnny Depp Tonto? You’re still responding to a non-Indian, stereotypical image.”
Eileen Maxwell, a spokeswoman for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, said Depp has a tall order to fill if he wants to turn Tonto into a more positive image.
“All of its past iterations have not been good for Native Americans,” she said. “They’ve been stereotypical, one-dimension and not true depictions of the westward expansion, which was devastating to Native America.”
Ernest Tsosie of the Navajo comedy duo, James and Ernie, is looking forward to seeing the movie.
One scene has Tonto and the Lone Ranger atop a train, being held at gunpoint by an outlaw who asked if they’re going somewhere. The Lone Ranger says no; Tonto insists they are. His straight-face turns to a smirk as the two are picked off the train by a hook that catches the chains that tie them together.
“It’s a real quick moment where I caught it and I kind of chuckled,” Tsosie said. “From what I saw, there’s some moments in there that are meant to be funny but not outwardly funny. I think most Natives will pick up on it.”

Tsosie said other tribes have teased the Comanche for making Depp an honorary member but doesn’t believe Depp is ignorant of American Indian culture. Depp was inquisitive about the Navajo language during filming, and the tribal president gave him a Pendleton blanket. T-shirts that Depp has worn have pictures of American Indian warriors in the 1492 version of homeland security and with the letters “AIM” for American Indian Movement, Tsosie said. “I think he knows what’s up.”
Disney’s remake of the “Lone Ranger” has Tonto in the role of coach to John Reid, the idealistic law school graduate played by Hammer, who finds himself out of his depth when he returns to his hometown and eventually becomes the Lone Ranger.
Michelle Shining Elk, a member of the Colville Tribes of the Pacific Northwest who works in the film industry, said the latest depiction will give the wrong perception of American Indians, “that we are uneducated, irrelevant, non-contributors to society living in teepees out on the Plains.” She expected Depp to deliver his lines in a more realistic and modern manner, “not like a caricature from a John Wayne movie, or 1920s cartoon,” she said.
But as John Wayne was a Hollywood creation, so is Tonto largely.
“I just hope that the other rabble-rousers out there can just sit back and take this in as a piece of entertainment,” Voelker said. “It’s not ever supposed to be an end-all to our Comanche culture. If they have problems, they can come to us, and I take that responsibility.”

Nicki Minaj has been trading barbs with her “American Idol” nemesis Mariah Carey all season, but last week’s nasty exchange may change the entire game for the dueling divas.
During last week’s live shows, Carey — who’s had 18 singles reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart — commented that not everyone gets to have a number one hit. Minaj took the comment as a personal dig and unleashed a series of Twitter rants, calling the five-time Grammy award winner “bitter” and “insecure,” and alluding to a rumor that producers wanted to replace Carey with former “Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez.
The rapper tweeted: “All dem #1s but Jlo phone ringin? I guess having a personality, being a secure woman, and giving genuine critique still trumps that.”
Now, according to Fox News, things are so bad that the “Butterfly” singer may be flying the coop –before the show’s finale next week.
A source close to “American Idol,” told FOX411′s Pop Tart’s column: “Mariah doesn’t want to come back, Nicki is really disrespecting her and she’s tired of trying to bite her tongue all the time. One night Nicki tried to be kind of nice, but Mariah didn’t bite, so I guess she figured screw that.”
The rivals got off to a bad start last summer during the show’s audition phase. During a “Nightline” interview with Barbara Walters, Carey revealed that she hired extra security last summer after the “Super Bass” rapper allegedly threatened to shoot her with a gun during an explosive argument on the “Idol” set.
“It felt like an unsafe work environment,” Carey said. “Anytime anybody’s reeling threats at somebody, you know, it’s not appropriate. I’m a professional. I’m not used to that type of environment.”
While producers downplayed the scuffle, the on-camera diva drama and eye rolling reached epic proportions last week. During Wednesday’s performance show, when the two didn’t agree on contestant Angie Miller’s performance, Minaj actually pulled some Q-Tips and told her rival she needed to clean her ears out!
No matter what happens this season, Mariah Carey is reportedly done with the show for good once the Season 12 finale wraps. (The show is down to final three contestants Angie Miller, Candice Glover, and Kree Harrison.)
“She’s done with it all. She doesn’t need the platform, and all the drama isn’t healthy for her,” the FOX source said.

After Beyonce took to the carpet, I have to say, a sigh of relief could be heard from the press lined up along either side of the red staircase at the 2013 Met Gala. With King Bey in the house, it had to be all over, didn’t it? *Knowing smirk* The Met Gala may have had their king, but there was still one queen who had not arrived. I’m talking of course, aboutMadonna, the queen of pop incarnate. Just after Bey made her way all the way through the museum’s gilded doors, the tell-tale explosion of flashbulbs and European-accented shouting bubbled up from the photo pit, and our sighs caught in our throats. Madonna had entered, wearing an all-over studded, tartan Givenchy blazer fastened over a fishnet bodysuit and very little else. Well no, that’s not true. Although Madge’s fantastic gams were on prominent display, there was a whole lot going on in her ensemble, including my personal favorite detail: an oversize padlock choker engraved with the letter ‘M.’ There were so many more things though! From the cross hanging down the back of her ensemble like a sacrilegious tail to her bright red lips and magenta pumps, there were countless details, each one elevating the ensemble to new heights of punk rock perfection.
The consensus among those we spoke to seemed to be that to be punk one needs not necessarily, say, have a mohawk or accessorize exclusively with safety pins, and Madonna was no different. I overheard her telling a journalist who asked her about her upcoming trip abroad to build schools for girls, that “giving girls an education is the most punk thing you can do.” UM, YES. 1000 TIMES YES. But so is totally revolutionizing the place of women in music, performing fearlessly, and WORKING not just fishnet, plaid, and piles of silver, but rocking all three of those things, plus a jet black bob AND red lip TOGETHER. Could Madonna be the queen of the 2013 Met Gala? We don’t like to play favorites, but let’s just say it’s a close race.
