“Blood Line” Chapter One
CHAPTER ONE
WORK IN AFRICA

Establishing a Residential School where one could receive …not only the ordinary intellectual training —but also the knowledge of leading the practical spiritual life and unfolding ones own inner powers …for lasting happiness and success in life. Popular education along the lines laid down centuries ago by the African Saints and Buddha’s —these have long been the aims and ideals of Njoki Mandengo.
Much of the class-work is done out-of-doors. An agricultural course is given and gardening is one of the occupations. Each group has its own plot of land for growing vegetables, etc. Industrial and commercial training is given in tailoring, spinning, bookbinding, cane-work, modeling, typing, bookkeeping, etc. They are taught hygiene, nursing and first-aid work. The regular school subjects such as Languages (English, German, Swahili, French and Bengali), History, Science, Mathematics, etc., are taught. There are story-classes and other special provisions for the entertainment and instruction of the younger children, and dramatic and debating societies for the older boys. Excursion outings to distant places—form part of the regular routine …to encourage love for natural beauty and to accustom the body to bear exertion and fatigue.
But the chief distinguishing feature of the school is the individual attention received by each student and the close study made of his nature and possibilities by his trained teachers who record the general character and psychological development and learning of each child in a chart originated by Njoki for that purpose. The students are divided in groups —not according to age and intellectual progress— but according to individual moral and spiritual growth. There is promotion to and degradation from these graded groups by a vote of the students themselves in accordance with the change in temperament and habits. The guidance and watchful observation is loving and helpful and each gets practical training in self-reliance and opportunity for growth thru responsibility. They are made to avoid all luxuries and wrongly conceived ideas of happiness. Each student keeps a record on his own changing tendencies and is taught —to make it ones own business to be better, in the very best environment that one can have. The ideal of plain living and high thinking is inculcated by advice and example. The necessity and joy of an exalted moral and spiritual life is brought home to everyone thru general instruction, contact with Saintly men and high-principled teachers and individual direction. There is a marked and favorable change in the general nature of each student who stays at the School for some time, and the atmosphere of harmony, service and happinessis remarked about by all visitors to the Institution.
Samantha Brick’s tips for a happy marriage: regular weigh-ins, home cooking and never feigning a headache

In a piece dedicated to praising the role of the “trophy wife”, the columnist claims she prefers to rely on her breadwinner French husband Pascal and keeps up her “lovely looks” as her part of the bargain.
Saying “I know my place in the home,” Ms Brick, who has previously complained all women hate her for her stunning appearance, vowed to produce two home-cooked meals a day, adding: “I wouldn’t dream of serving him up something from a packet”.
She said women who do not take her dedicated approach to their appearance should not be surprised if their husband strays, saying: “If a woman doesn’t make an effort, it’s perfectly logical that her husband will assume it’s because she feels he’s not worth making an effort for. Can you then blame a man for looking elsewhere?”
Ms Brick, who describes herself as a “consummate professional” in both the kitchen and the bedroom, warns: “I don’t make the mistake of suffering from headaches when I’m between the sheets or feign sleepiness when my husband makes amorous advances.”
In a long list of vows she believes make her marriage perfect, she details how she would never “witter on about PMT or yell at him when I’m stressed”, and generously “massages his head and shoulders with lavender oil” each day before his afternoon siesta.

Rick Santroum wins the South

Lansing, Michigan
Today was a big day for two southern state Alabama and Mississippi. However, it was a historical day, because Hawaii for the first time held a primary opened to their GOP voters. With a little over 90 delegates available for the taking, it was necessary that Senator Rick Santorum or Speaker Newt Gingrich obtain them to continue onward to November.
As, stated I am a very big Santorum supporter and the Santorum Surge is at full speed. It is amazing that Rick Santorum is doing so well, in a race that has been painted by many as a guarantee Romney Ticket. I personally feel we will as a Republican part go to the Republican National Convention broken. At this point, I could see Santorum being the clear Conservative that will be the choice to take on Barack Obama. Oddly, this is something Mitt Romney fears is going into a broken conference because he knows that it was not meant to be.
It is official at 10:15 p.m. est.; Fox News projected “Rick Santorum the winner of Alabama.” This was expected, but a huge pick up in momentum for the Santorum campaign. Governor Robert Bentley of Alabama said it best, “I did vote for Rick Santorum, but I didn’t publicly endorse him. Nor do I plan to endorse anyone; I feel it hurts the candidates. The citizens of Alabama make up their own minds.”
However, the race was rather different case in Mississippi, the race seemed tighter between the three candidates. As of 10:44 p.m. it was called that Rick Santorum has won Mississippi.
This is a huge win for Santorum and now its Game On!
